Galvanized razor blade wire that turns any wall or fence line into a serious anti-climb barrier. We supply and install the right coil type, blade profile and diameter for your boundary, across Pakistan.

What it is
Razor wire, also called barbed tape or concertina wire, is a galvanized steel strip stamped with sharp, razor-edged blades and crimped onto a high-tensile core wire. It is the modern successor to old-style barbed wire: instead of a few single points, it presents a continuous line of broad blades that grip clothing and skin and make climbing over genuinely difficult. That is why it is the standard anti-climb topping for boundary walls, factories, farmhouses and high-security sites.
Stamped razor blades along a steel tape grip and resist cutting far better than the single spikes of ordinary barbed wire, so climbing over is a real deterrent, not a token one.
Every length is crimped onto a 2.5 mm high-tensile core wire, so the coil holds its shape, resists stretching and sagging, and fights back against wire cutters.
Hot-dipped galvanizing, or stainless steel where the site needs it, keeps the wire rust-free for years in our climate, so the barrier stays sharp and strong instead of corroding in a season.
Coil types
Razor wire is supplied in several coil styles. The right one depends on how strong a barrier you need and whether it sits on a wall top or stands alone as a full fence.
One spiral of razor tape that expands into even loops along a wall top or fence line. The most common and cost-effective anti-climb layer for homes and boundaries.
Two coils clipped together for a denser, harder-to-breach barrier. A popular step up for commercial walls and higher-risk boundaries.
Two base coils with one on top in a pyramid stack, a formidable standalone barrier for borders, grid stations and sensitive sites.
Razor tape run in straight, tensioned lines along a wall top or between posts, a low-profile deterrent where full loops are not wanted.
Razor blades welded into a rigid panel, combining a see-through fence with a cut-resistant, hard-to-climb surface for premium perimeters.
Galvanized wire with a coloured PVC coat for extra corrosion resistance and a tidier look on visible or coastal boundaries.
Specifications
Razor wire is graded by its blade type, the stamped tape profile, and its coil diameter. The blade decides how aggressive the barrier is; the coil diameter decides how wide and tall the loops sit. Here are the profiles we supply most.
| Blade type | Blade length | Blade width | Core wire | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BTO-22 most common | 22 mm | 15 mm | 2.5 mm | Homes, boundary walls, general perimeters |
| BTO-30 | 30 mm | 18 mm | 2.5 mm | Higher-deterrence commercial boundaries |
| CBT-60 / CBT-65 | 60–65 mm | 21 mm | 2.5 mm | Prisons, borders, high-security sites |
Coil diameters: we supply 450, 600, 730 and 960 mm coils. Smaller coils (450–600 mm) suit wall-top runs; larger coils and triple stacks suit standalone high-security perimeters. A single coil typically stretches to about 8–10 metres of coverage. Blade thickness is around 0.5 mm, hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel.
Where it is used
A concertina coil along the wall top is the simplest, most effective upgrade against climb-overs, the most common request we get across Pakistan.
Long, cost-effective perimeters for open plots and the farmhouse belt, where you need a serious deterrent over a large boundary.
Commercial boundaries that need a visible, serious barrier along walls and chain-link fences, integrated cleanly with your existing fencing.
Cross and triple concertina where breach-resistance is non-negotiable and the barrier must stand up to a determined attempt.
Protecting critical infrastructure, substations and telecom sites where unauthorised access is a genuine safety and security risk.
Consistent, tidy anti-climb protection along society boundary walls, delivered as one uniform standard across the whole perimeter.
Materials & finish
The core wire and blades come in three finishes. Hot-dipped galvanized steel is the workhorse: a thick zinc coating that resists rust for years and gives the best strength-to-value in our climate. Stainless steel 304 or 316L costs more but is the right call for coastal, highly humid or maximum-lifespan installations. PVC-coated razor wire adds a coloured plastic layer for extra corrosion protection and a cleaner appearance on visible boundaries.
Pricing
Razor wire is sold two ways: per coil for supply only, and per running foot when we install it for you. Where the number lands depends on the blade profile, coil type and finish you choose. We quote a real, itemised figure after seeing your boundary, no bait pricing you get talked out of later.
Tell us your wall length and the coil type you want, and we give you an exact, itemised price, supply-only or fully installed by our team.

Why Margalla Fencing
Razor wire is the anti-climb layer of a perimeter. It is strongest sitting on a solid wall or chain-link base, and it can be topped with live electric strands for an active, alarmed boundary. Most wire sellers simply hand you a coil and leave the rest to you.
Because Margalla Fencing supplies and installs the full range, we design and build the complete boundary as one integrated system, from a single team that stands behind all of it.
How we work
We measure your boundary and check the wall height, access points and the level of security you need.
Blade profile, coil type and finish matched to your risk and budget, explained in plain terms.
Quality galvanized or stainless razor wire, coils, clips and all fixings, sourced to the agreed spec.
Fixed on angle-iron, Y or V posts, or along your wall top by our own team, tensioned and clipped properly.
Warranty on materials and workmanship, with local response if the barrier ever needs attention.
Common questions
Barbed wire has occasional single or double points twisted onto a strand, mainly to mark a boundary and discourage livestock or casual crossing. Razor wire is a steel tape stamped with a continuous line of sharp, razor-edged blades crimped onto a high-tensile core. It is a far more serious anti-climb barrier, which is why it is used for security walls, factories and high-risk sites rather than just field fencing.
For most homes, walls and general boundaries, BTO-22, the medium 22 mm blade, is the standard and the most cost-effective choice. Step up to BTO-30 for higher-deterrence commercial sites, or to the long CBT-60/CBT-65 blade for prisons, borders and maximum-security perimeters. We recommend the right one after the survey, not a one-size guess.
Hot-dipped galvanized is the right choice for the large majority of installations across Pakistan, giving strong rust resistance at a sensible price. Stainless steel is worth the extra only for coastal, very humid or maximum-lifespan projects. We will tell you honestly which your site actually needs.
Yes, that is the most common installation. We mount a single or cross concertina coil along your wall top on brackets or angle-iron, turning an ordinary boundary wall into a genuine anti-climb barrier without rebuilding anything.
A single concertina coil typically stretches to about 8 to 10 metres of wall or fence line, depending on the coil diameter and how tightly it is expanded. We calculate the exact number of coils for your perimeter during the survey so nothing is over-ordered.
Both. You can buy razor wire and coils from us as supply-only, or have our own team install it end to end, tensioned, clipped and finished properly, and backed by our warranty and after-sales support.
Yes. Razor wire is a passive physical barrier and is widely used on private boundary walls, commercial sites and government installations. The key is fitting it within your own boundary line and at a safe height, which we always do.
